As the national spokesperson, Kim was the mouthpiece for ONE's North American campaigns to engage the American people to add their voice to the fight against extreme poverty in the developing world. At ONE, Kim was responsible for developing and executing proactive media strategies to advance ONE's agenda in the fight against global extreme poverty and preventable disease. The position required extensive writing and outreach to print, TV, radio, and online media that covered politics, global health, education, women's issues and technology beats. In addition to cultivating relationships with reporters and U.S. media outlets, Kim also worked closely with ONE's policy, community partnerships, and government affairs teams, as well as, with communications staff in the London, Berlin, Paris, and African-based offices.
